Orbex V 1.0.2


Hey everyone! 👋

This is my first devlog for Orbex, a small 2D survival game I’ve been developing in Phaser.js.

What started as a simple orb collection idea has now grown into a more balanced and dynamic survival challenge.

⚙️ What’s New in v1.2

  • 🧠 Smarter enemies — new orange orbs now spawn progressively every 50 points, increasing the tension gradually.

  • 🎯 Accurate circular collisions — hits now register only when enemies actually touch the player, fixing the old “too-early damage” issue.

  • 💫 Pulsing enemies — enemies now gently “breathe,” giving the game more life and visual flow.

  • Smoother controls — improved response for both keyboard and touch (no more movement freeze after idle).

  • 🌟 Polished look — overall game pacing and feedback feel cleaner.

🚀 What’s Next

I’m experimenting with a start screen, score milestones, and maybe some visual particle effects when the player is hit or collects orbs.

The goal is to keep Orbex simple but satisfying — something anyone can play instantly and try to beat their last score.
